Youth policy in Greece

Howard Williamson, Sladjana Petkovic

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

Greece is the 20th country to have had its youth policy reviewed by an international team appointed by the Council of Europe. The review explored the impact of the financial crisis on young people, the transitions from education to the labour market, the role of compulsory military service for young men, and the characteristics of the public administration, which can conspire to limit the possibilities of entrepreneurship despite this being the ubiquitous aspiration of governmental youth policy.
