    Abstract

    This paper looks at the background to the formation of the 'Working Lives' team and the initial involvement and reflections of the 'new kid' on the block' as an early career researcher. The Welsh Education Research Network (WERN) was funded the the Economic and Social Research Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales for a pilot period between 1st October 2007 and 30th June 3008.
