Abstract

This study introduces a cylindrical four-element dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) array optimized for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and X-band applications. The array is innovatively fed using a conformal patch linked to a microstrip line, enabling superior energy coupling compared to conventional feeding methods. The proposed design achieves impedance bandwidths of 2.19-2.72 GHz and 4.92-5.58 GHz, effectively covering the WLAN frequency bands at 2.4 GHz and 5.32 GHz. Additionally, the antenna extends its operational range to 8.47 - 11.89 GHz, targeting X -band frequencies at 8.93 GHz and 11.24 GHz. These findings underscore the array's versatility and efficiency, making it a promising solution for dual-band WLAN and X -band applications.
