The White Bit Round The Edges

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

    Abstract

Starting with unpublished extracts from a writing notebook, this is an investigation into the writing process and the concept of the writer's' voice'. It considers the shaping of poetic material, including the physical shape on the page, and in particular the importance of what is not yet written or articulated. Alongside the workbook material it connects the argument to poems from a collection about the writer's father's aphasia, Deep Field.
