    Abstract

    The Victorian Literature handbook is a guide to the literature of the period, for undergraduates, postgraduates, and academics new to the Victorians. It offers a range of chapters beginning with an Introduction and Timeline and thereafter deals with the historical, literary and cultural contexts, case studies in reading literary and critical texts, key critical concepts and topics, changes in the literary canon, changes in critical approaches, interdisciplinarity in Victorian studies, and mapping the future of Victorian studies.
