    Abstract

Students have been involved in an assessment that has required them to develop their own teaching plans, activities and ideas based on a publication called the Lost Words ( McFarlane & Morris , 2017) - which has a place of significance in Schools particularly in South East Wales. The project aims to further develop these ideas and plans to a point where they can be published for use by Practitioners in order to support the implementation of the Lost Words book in supporting the holistic development of children in the Foundation Phase and can be transferred into the New Curriculum for Wales in 2021. The toolkit is now published and available as a free download on line
