Abstract

The GAMY (Genetics and Merthyr Young) Project began in January 2008 and is running until January 2010. We recruited twenty-one young people from Merthyr Tydfil, a valley town in South Wales, to take part in some research about genetics in relation to health. We wanted to explore their attitudes towards genetics, how these attitudes were formed and whether they changed over time.
