Abstract
The case-study identifies and explores various issues which have affected the Welsh policy landscape for children, mainly focussing on the period since devolution in 1998, and the subsequent establishment of the Welsh Government (WG) and the National Assembly for Wales (NAW). Major factors driving policymaking and outcomes relating to children policy have been identified under three main headings, political, economic, and socio-cultural.
