Abstract

The university college at Cardiff offers a course on quality and reliability engineering (Q&RE) a 3-yr undergraduate degree scheme. Q&RE is taught in each year. The first 2 yrs appear as part of the manufacturing management course, and in the final year it appears as a specialist course. Like any degree course, lectures and tutorials are supported with experimental, integrated studies and project work. Complementing the undergraduate course, the college runs a successful Master's course in Systems Engineering which include core and option modules in Q&RE related topics. Tables detailing the topics covered in each year are presented.
