Many international students arrive in the UK extremely anxious about their command of English and with a very real need for expert language tuition. However, finding the best way to provide language training and support for such students is difficult. The approach described below looks at how the roles of talk, feedback and technology have been combined to deliver an effective and popular course of academic writing that has helped hundreds of students since 2006.
