    Abstract

    The six sigma philosophy, which provides companies with substantial financial savings, is discussed. Six sigma is a strategic approach to business improvement which integrates thinking with technology, tools, techniques and peoples. The quantification of the process using actual data and use of statistical tools to identify the root cause of the problem are also elaborated.
