Abstract

The original text ‘Riff’ based on the Columbine Disaster, written by myself as a solo performance piece with live music for professional production, was adapted for a cast of 15 student actors/musicians + 2 professionals. The production, made initially as part of the teaching provision, was later revived at the invitation of the National Eisteddfod of Wales, giving the students the opportunity to experience the reality of presenting challenging work within a very culturally specific (and conservative) setting.
