Abstract
Music Therapy has the potential to promote resilience, acting as a resource for those who can access it. It can assist people in coping and managing emotions and behaviours that arise from living in stressful situations.
A therapeutic music project in Palestine, devised and supported by the speaker, but now managed and run by local staff, will be sued to illustrate this working theory. Vignettes and the words of the staff and children will be used to discuss this developing work.
