Abstract

Closing the Gap is a study funded by the Health Foundation in two parts. The first involves investigating five domains to inform the HF’s base econometric model and alternative scenarios. It explores the actual/potential impact of efficiency gain and, the potential impact of the Welsh Government’s Prudent Healthcare policy on clinical activity, on four different clinical areas through case studies and analysis. The second focuses on the ways in which approaches to Prudent Healthcare have been implemented, and the barriers and enablers inherent in this process.
