Abstract
This is the introduction for a ‘Special Edition’ I put together and edited for the Journal of Popular Music Education. The collection comprises of six academic chapters and seven case studies, all focusing on current practices in Wales and now a series of issues need to be addressed, ranging from assessment methods, to curriculum content, to policy decisions.
