Abstract
My journey with South Wales Police started on the 5th of November 2001. I can still remember the feelings that I experienced that morning as a new police recruit. Although I had passed Bridgend Headquarters many times before as a civilian, this journey was different. This was because I was about to embark not just on my first career but upon a very important career, within policing.
