Mapping the Disaster Vulnerability of the Elderly

    Abstract

    The elderly personsits at the centre of a unique constellation of factors that increase their vulnerability to disasters. The aim of this paper is to map out the complex interplay of these vulnerability factors and argue for a more holisitc approach to care of the older person in post-disaster settings.
