Abstract

The number of older peole with learning disabilities is likely to continue to rise. A range of professionals deal with the growing complexity of need that some older people with learning disabilities may present. The lifestyle of older people with learning disabilities is often poor with little physical activity and an unbalanced diet. Health living advice and interventions need to start in childhood and across the lifespan into old age. Currently older people need to be made aware of the benefits of health ageing.
