Abstract

Recently, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been adopted in most of Wireless Local and Personal Area Networks (WLANs/WPANs), due to its robustness in hostile multipath radio channels. In this paper, the performance of an OFDM transceiver with Frequency Domain Equalization (FDE) based on time domain channel estimation using Golay complementary sequences is presented. The transceiver is implemented on FPGA platform. Results of Bit Error Rate (BER) measurements against Signal-to-Noise-Ratio (SNR) are presented for a number of line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight millimetre-wave indoor radio channels.
