Abstract
In partnership with the Swansea Centre for Health Economics, WIHSC evaluated RNIB’s Eye Clinic Liaison Officers. This study took a Case Study approach to the issue and used a mixed methodology to understand both the efficacy and efficiency of these roles. We undertook a Cost Consequence Analysis to address the question of how well, and how cost effectively the ECLOs do their work. The study drew on sites from across the four nations of the UK, and identified if there were impacts that could be attributed to the different approaches to healthcare policy of the four devolved nations.
