    Abstract

    This training resource aids EY practitioners to understand the developmental pathway of Exploration . It aims to Define exploration;
    Review links between exploration and the three enablers; ‘enabling adults, effective environments, engaging experiences’
    Illustrate links between exploration and the exploration developmental pathway statements
    Investigate links between exploration and child centred pedagogy
    Consider how opportunities for ‘exploration’ currently manifest in practice ; what steps can be taken to afford improved opportunities for children’s exploration.
