Temperature and Supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) alter the compressive strength of oil well cementitious system. However, only limited studies can be found on the
effect of temperature and SCM on the compressive strength of oil well cementitious system at 24 hours. Thus, the current study tends to expand knowledge of the effect of temperature and SCM on the compressive strength of oil well cementitious using selected temperature and SCMs. An investigation of the effect of Metakoalin and Pulverised fuel ash material
combined with a Super plasticizer admixture on the compressive strength of a Class G based oil well cementitious system in 23°C, 42°C and 60°C were conducted in the study. The outcome of the study revealed that compressive strength of OC system can be increased or decreased depending on the properties and dosages of the type of SCM incorporated and the degree of temperature the system is exposed to.
