Abstract

Higher education has seen a fundamental transformation as a result of the fast spread of technology and the digital world, which has forced a paradigm change in the abilities required of educators. In order to satisfy the needs of an educational environment driven by digital technology, faculty members must now adjust to the constraints of traditional teaching approaches. The demands of modern learning settings have changed the job of educators in the digital age, necessitating a broad range of skills. This chapter examines the ways in which data-driven methods might support innovation, improve faculty abilities, and equip teachers to meet the demands of the digital era. This chapter aims to examine the condition of faculty skill development in higher education, explore the contribution of data-driven approaches to enhancing faculty skills, recognize obstacles and prospects in executing these tactics, and suggest a structure for integrating data-driven approaches into faculty development initiatives. This thorough study seeks to illuminate the mutually beneficial link between faculty skill development and data-driven methods, offering significant contributions to the current discourse on improving higher education in the digital age.
