Cuts to Cardiff youth project is a plight seen nationwide

The European Union will be publishing a book celebrating 25 years of its youth programmes. In the heart of Cardiff, there is less cause for celebrating the 40 years of the City Centre Youth Project, or Grassroots, as it faces a dramatic reduction in its staffing and a threat to the particular culture of youth work it has steadily honed over the years.
