Abstract

Aims and intended learning outcomes. This article discusses the principles and practice of exposure therapy. After reading this article, reviewing the recommended reading, and reflecting on your practice you will be able to : Discuss the evidence based knowledge that underpins Theories of Panic, understanding models of panic and associated cognitive and behavioural interventions. Provide therapy with a suitable client under the supervision of a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. Reflect upon the therapy provided and review the strengths and weaknesses of Models of panic and interventions associated with these in day to day clinical practice.
