Abstract

Technological progress, and more specifically the development of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and Internet-of-Things (IoT), has played a vital role in shaping our new-age transportation. As cities grow, sustainable mobility solutions will be vital. There are established challenges including regulatory frameworks, public acceptance, human factors--aspects are considered together with limitations by means of testing methodologies as benchmarks that contribute road map strategies for cohesive plans towards generation four automated driving ADFA systems (Y-mobility), truly enabling global deployment of AD systems which will define the mutual tomorrow fulfilling little-dreamed heritage promises starting time-axis teleportation solutions. This chapter explores the incorporation of internet-of-things (IoT) in autonomous vehicles and focuses on data-driven technologies that can better traffic management, safety precautions, while keeping our carbon footprint from destroying this world.
