Abstract

Abstract This report details the evaluation of a pilot scheme which has offered independent advocacy services to older people living in two residential homes. The period covered by the evaluation is October 2000 to December 2001. Four aspects of the services were evaluated: the service provided to residents who had recently moved into the homes; the pattern of formal referrals to the Advocacy Service; the concerns and queries raised with visting advocates by residents living within the homes; and the activities undertaken by the Project Development Worker.
