Abstract

This digital transformation brings forth significant challenges related to cyber-security, particularly in safeguarding the security and privacy of patient data and information. Artificial intelligence has great promise in the healthcare industry because of its capacity to mimic human cognitive processes and carry out activities that traditionally needed human intellect. There are various artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, such as computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning algorithms which enable healthcare systems to immediately produce actionable insights, analyze large datasets and reveal complex patterns. With employing these capabilities, healthcare practitioners may improve clinical judgment, optimize treatment strategies and effectively manage resources, all of which lead to better patient outcomes and a more efficient healthcare system. This chapter focuses on the intersection of AI, cyber-security, and E-Health, examining the current legal landscape and proposing a futuristic approach for securing smart healthcare systems.
