    Abstract

This report presents the results of an exploratory study of accommodation services and related issues affecting ex-prisoners released into the South West region. The study was commissioned by the Government Office of the South West (GOSW) and was designed principally to inform the implementation and further development of strategies and plans to improve services in this field. In particular, it should assist the Regional Offender Manager (ROM), together with the South West Reducing Re-offending Programme Delivery Board (SWRRPDB) and its Accommodation Pathway sub-group, in taking forward the Accommodation Pathway in line with the aspirations set out in the region’s
    Reducing Re-Offending Strategy (NOMS 2005a).
