Abstract

This paper related to a novel grating based temporal buffering approach. A diffraction grating is used into the system to provide a linear phase variation with wavelength so that a temporal delay or buffering can be achieved. Base on our novel approach, it will allow for the first time an analysis of the temporal existence of the spectral components of data, as well as, provide optical dispersion compensation, temporal buffering at data rates more than 100 Gb/s.
