Abstract
A 74-year-old Caucasian woman presented with right medial knee pain that radiated proximally into the anterior thigh and distally to the ankle. The onset of symptoms was 5 weeks previously whilst waking down a steep hill, at which time she reported a "popping" sound together with sharp, posterior knee pain.
