Abstract
In the context of higher education internationalization, the paper takes Suzhou University of Science and Technology and University of South Wales as the study objects, as they share similar educational concepts, orientations, and academic programs. The paper highlights the similarities and differences between the Chinese and British university education in terms of administration, academic hours, programs and curricular arrangements, classroom teaching contents and approaches, teaching evaluation and supervision, teaching assistance, teacher's job titles and technical posts, student management, and practical education programs. The paper attempts to expand the horizon, and to explore the approaches to reform of China's application-oriented universities.
