Project Details
Description
This project focuses on the challenges and strategies of managing wildlife in the dynamic and changing environment of a pioneering game reserve in South Africa. We explore the intricate balance between ecological processes, biodiversity conservation, and human-wildlife interactions in the context of prevailing biotic and abiotic pressures.
The project examines adaptive management approaches, species monitoring techniques, and conservation initiatives via field-, lab- and desk-based studies. Our goal is to support the development of innovative, sustainable solutions for the management and preservation of wildlife that have relevance for the reserve and at larger scales.
