Project Details
Description
The primary objective of the research is to gain information that will help to save lives and reduce harms associated with substance use among people in prison and on their release. This research will be predominantly qualitative in nature and underpinned by a phenomenological approach. We will conduct semi-structured interviews with 60 participants in total.
The research project comprises two work packages (WPs). WP1 will take the first five months and will include a rapid systematic review which will be conducted at the same time research permissions and ethic approvals are obtained. The remaining 18 months will be allotted to WP2 which is the qualitative research, with months 6-18 for data collection and the remaining 6 months for final analyses and write up.
