Description

This strategic partnership, led by USW, created between the Integrated Programme Assessment (IPA) Network (IPA Net UK) and the QAA seeks to establish a UK-wide community of practice focused on integrated programme assessment strategies. Building on a decade of work by the PASS project at the University of Bradford and contributions from Brunel University, as well as more recent efforts at the Universities of Leeds and Bristol, the project aims to leverage existing expertise to support higher education institutions (HEIs) and QAA members in adopting IPA approaches.

Key objectives include creating a toolkit for establishing institutional readiness for IPA and conducting primary research to understand the perspectives of staff, students, and professional staff on the challenges and opportunities of implementing IPA. The initiative will develop a web presence, host an annual conference in 2026, and disseminate resources, fostering a dynamic community of practice in the programmatic assessment space.
