Description
USW’s rapid evidence review for Public Health Wales highlights major barriers for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) communities in accessing effective mental health services. Findings show that BAME clients face limited access, higher dropout rates, and poorer outcomes due to stigma, service navigation challenges, and lack of culturally adapted therapies.
Key findings
Culturally sensitive practices could help address these barriers, supporting Public Health Wales’s commitment to inclusive, effective mental health care.
