Hybrid Warfare and the EU Cybersecurity

Project Details

Description

The Jean Monnet Module HYBER explores the cybersecurity aspect of hybrid warfare, focusing on cyber offensive tactics as a cost-effective method targeting democratic societies, especially in the EU.

As authoritarian regimes like Russia and China increasingly resort to cyber-attacks, the module contributes to discussions on EU cybersecurity threats and policies. Building on my experience as a Marie Curie Senior Research Fellow and involvement in the EUHYBRID project, HYBER offers a postgraduate module on cyber threats in hybrid warfare.

The project provides blended learning through synchronous and asynchronous sessions, along with formative and summative assessments, seminars, webinars, workshops, and simulation exercises. These activities aim to enhance students' critical analysis and understanding of hybrid warfare concepts and frameworks, along with the legal, sociocultural, and ethical issues in cyberspace governance and security.
