Project Details
Description
The ARIADNEplus project was the extension of the previous FP7 ARIADNE Integrating Activity, which integrated archaeological data infrastructures in Europe. The partners included most existing European national services, and partners in other countries who hope to develop their own infrastructures.
USW continued their contributions on vocabulary mapping and linked data. Significant outcomes (and publications) include freely available tools facilitating vocabulary mapping for archaeological infrastructure, automatic normalization of temporal expressions and subject metadata enrichment of archaeological fieldwork reports. The work of the ARIADNEplus consortium continues via the ARIADNE Research Infrastructure AISBL, a not-for-profit association that aims to further maintain and exploit ARIADNE’s digital infrastructure and resources. The work is also being continued and the subject domain widened in ATRIUM.
