- Sustainability
- Solid Waste Management
- Biogas Upgrading
- Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage
- Economics of sustainable technologies (e.g. hydrogen)
- Contaminated Land Management
- Disaster Management
Supervision
Regular supervision of MSc Dissertations, usually in the area of systems and economic analysis of sustainable technologies.
PhD supervision experience both as Director of Studies (1 ongoing) and Supervisor (5 completed, 2 ongoing).
Skills
Multi-disciplinary researcher with a grounding in Physical Geography. I enjoy the process of breaking down and understanding complex relationships within and between natural and industrial processes, and find this ability to break down complex problems applicable across the work environment. Skills include:
- Mass and Energy Balance of Emerging processes
- Life Cycle Assessment (SimaPro)
- Project Management / Organisational Skills including budget management
- Writing of Technical and Non Technical Reports
- Bid / Proposal Writing
- Presentation / Pubic Speaking
- Entrepreneurship
