My primary research focuses on advanced sustainable manufacturing technologies and their adoption within industry in Wales. As part of the ASTUTE 2020 programme, I collaborate with manufacturing companies in East Wales on the adoption of 'Industry 4.0' technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability. I have also been involved with the Valleys Innovation Showcase for Technological Advancement (VISTA) programme implementing improvements in businesses in Blaenau Gwent.

I have a background in industry holding various roles involved with the manufacture of satellites, medical devices, and anaerobic digestors prior to working in academia. I am head of outreach for the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, whom I represent on the Senedd cross-party Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) group.

My research has been published in journals including Technological Forecasting & Social Change and I have presented my work at several international conferences.
