My primary research focuses on advanced sustainable manufacturing technologies and their adoption within industry in Wales. As part of the ASTUTE 2020 programme, I collaborate with manufacturing companies in East Wales on the adoption of 'Industry 4.0' technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.

I have a background in industry holding various roles involved with the manufacture of satellites, medical devices, and anaerobic digestors prior to working in academia. I am head of outreach for the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, whom I represent on the Senedd cross-party Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) group.
My research has been presented at the 2020 Society of Open Innovation Conference as well as the 2020 South Wales Business School Research Conference where I was awarded the Best Paper Award.
