Research activity per year
With a rich interdisciplinary background, I hold a PhD in Logistics and Operations Management, where my academic pursuits focus on the intricate relationship between operational practices and societal well-being.
My research explores the human dimensions of managing supply chains and operations, with a particular focus on humanitarian logistics and sustainable supply chain practices. A key area of my work is the integration of sustainability into operational frameworks, with a focus on fostering empathy, independence and ensuring decent working conditions.
I am committed to the advancement of the field of logistics and operations management, and closely align my efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Currently, I am involved in a research initiative that aims to promote sanctuary and anti-racism through community collaboration. This project emphasises cross-sector partnerships to drive significant societal change, in line with the goals of the Well-Being of Future Generations Act - specifically 'A More Equal Wales' and 'A Globally Responsible Wales'.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), I actively contribute to discussions on global supply chain challenges, including the wider implications of COVID-19.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
