Experience

Rachel is an Employment Solicitor who joined the University of South Wales in 2015. Prior to this, Rachel undertook her training contract at an American law firm in London where she qualified as a solicitor into their employment department. She subsequently moved back to South Wales where she worked as an employment solicitor for a large national firm. During this time, she spent 12 months on secondment to a FTSE 250 company where she was the sole employment solicitor.   As a solicitor,  Rachel’s main areas of interest are employment law and clinical legal education. She is actively involved in the Legal Advice Clinic supervising students and providing employment law advice.

Teaching interests

Whilst at the University of South Wales Rachel has lectured in many areas of law including employment, contract and civil litigation. Rachel’s main areas of interest are employment law and clinical legal education. She is actively involved in the Legal Advice Clinic supervising students providing employment law advice to members of the public.  Rachel is also actively involved in a number of community based projects including Streetlaw at Cardiff Employment Tribunal and Capital Community
