About

Monica is a Principal Lecturer in the University of South Wales Business School where she has responsibility for the MSc Leadership & Management course with Capita PLC.
Monica also currently undertakes two national roles serving on the Chartered Institute of Marketing Senate and the Academy of Marketing National Executive.

Experience

Monica has held several senior roles in Higher Education. She was Dean of the Faculty of Business & Society at the University of Glamorgan and Dean of Glamorgan Business School. Immediately prior to joining the University of Glamorgan she was Assistant Director at the Higher Education Academy where she was responsibile for Employability and Employee Learning, Inclusive Learning and Institutional Strategy and Partnerships. Monica was Dean of Huddersfield University Business School, Associate Dean at Leeds Business School, Head of Business and Regional Development at the University of West of England, Head of Business at the University of Wales College Newport.
Monica began her academic career at Mancheser Metropolitan University Business School where she taught Marketing and Management Development. Her roles there included Director of Business Development and Head of Part-time Business Programmes.
Monica began her career as a Commercial Apprentice with British Aerospace and went on to become a Systems Analyst with the company.

Monica has undertaken a wide range of academic and scholarly activities throughout her career serving on review and validation committees, steering groups and special projects as well as undertaking external examining activities. She has also been conference track chair, reviewed for international journals, been on journal editorial boards and served on the organising committee of several international conferences.
