Personal Profile

With over 15 years of experience as a tertiary lecturer in both the U.K. and Hong Kong, I have developed a diverse teaching portfolio. My expertise spans multiple disciplines, including Human Resource Management (HRM), Performance and Compensation Management, Marketing Strategy, Global Marketing, Business Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Business Law.

The legal aspects of these subjects align closely with my Juris Doctor (JD) degree, as well as my extensive knowledge and professionalism in HRM and Marketing. This multidisciplinary approach has enriched my teaching and provided a comprehensive learning experience for my students.

In addition, my research interests lie in Human Resource Management, with a particular focus on work-family issues. I have conducted numerous studies on work-family conflict within Chinese society. I am especially interested in cross-cultural research examining the impact of work-family conflict on women’s career advancement, gender equality, social support, and the effectiveness of family-friendly policies and practices. My work also explores anti-discrimination law and the experiences of female employees with Special Education Needs (SEN) children. Additionally, my research extends to Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

I have published extensively in academic journals and have presented her research at international conferences. My work has been instrumental in shaping policies and practices aimed at improving work-life balance and promoting gender equality in the workplace.

In addition to my academic achievements, I am a Fellow (FCIM) and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), as well as a Professional Manager and Full Member of The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). My research also encompasses Marketing Strategy and Global Marketing, with a particular emphasis on the hospitality industry. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
