Research interests

Current research interest is the menstrual cycle and predisposition to injury.

Teaching interests

Kayleigh teaches on a range of Sports Therapy core and option modules, including: Introduction to Screening, Prevention and Recovery, Rehabilitation of Sport and Exercise Injuries, Advanced Rehabilitation of Sport and Exercise Injuries, Sports Injuries and Biomechanics, Professional Clinical Practice and Sports Therapy A Patients Perspective.


Kayleigh graduated with a First-Class honours degree in Sports Therapy. Following her graduation in 2019, Kayleigh began her internship with Scotland Rugby, which involved international travel to Japan for the Rugby World cup. Upon completion of the internship, she began a teaching assistant role at University College Birmingham where she was soon promoted to associate lecturer. Alongside her lecturing role, she worked in part-time academy football. More recently Kayleigh has worked on numerous cycling events and rugby 7’s tours both in the UK and abroad. With four years of teaching experience and a wealth of industry exposure, Kayleigh joined USW as a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Therapy. 

Kayleigh has since invested in advancing her knowledge in the field of rehabilitation by undertaking further education in the form of a Masters degree in Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation at Salford University.
