From 2006-2011, Julie, was responsible for the set up and ongoing management of the Glamorgan Business School Advice Shop, a one stop shop offering student guidance and advice. She was instrumental in introducing a number of initiatives to improve student performance and retention (such as resit revision events, online learner support tools, attendance monitoring, etc) and continues to work on cross-faculty initiatives to support and enhance the student experience. Julie has worked at the University of Glamorgan since 2001 in a variety of roles combining teaching, student support, and research into the student experience. Prior to joining the University, Julie spent ten years as a peripatetic Adult Educator working in the local communities of South Wales. She delivered a wide range of ICT, personal development and business skills programmes for local community education, further education colleges and small business providers.
