Experience

I am an experienced educator specialising in forensic science education from Level 2 to Level 7. I am dedicated to supporting students at all levels to excel in higher education. My passion lies in widening participation, ensuring that all students, regardless of background, have the opportunity, skills, and confidence to succeed.

My most recent work has focused on improving the retention of Level 3 students across the entire STEM provision at the University of South Wales. By developing targeted support strategies and fostering an inclusive learning environment, I aim to enhance student engagement, confidence, and academic success.

In addition to teaching and supporting students, I lead outreach initiatives to inspire future forensic professionals and support underrepresented groups in higher education.

My research interests include student engagement, peer and tutor connections, student transitions and innovative teaching strategies. I continually seek to enhance student learning and foster a sense of belonging through a compassionate, student-first approach.
