Personal profile

Research interests

I am a PhD researcher in the School at Psychology at the University of South Wales. General research interests include the impact of physical activity on the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents. My current PhD project aims to explore the role of professional football clubs in enhancing the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents using community-based interventions that are delivered by the charitable arms of Premier League and English Football League clubs. A second research interest relates to the psychological impact of women's reproductive health.

Teaching interests

I teach across all undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the Psychology Department, including BSc Psychology, BSc Childhood Development, and MSc Clinical Psychology. My main teaching interests include modules which focus on mental health, physical health, and children and young people.


I supervise dissertation projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. My main interests include research projects which focus on the mental health benefits of physical activity, as well as projects which focus on the psychosocial impact of women's reproductive health.
