Experience

David is the course leader for the BA (hons) Music Producing degree course and lecturer in Popular & Commercial Music at USW. He has worked as a musician, producer, programmer and remixer, with over thirty years’ experience in the music industry.   David signed to Go! Discs in 1994, then BMG RCA in 1996, releasing several singles and albums and remixing artists including Gabrielle, Madness, The Cardigans, Sleeper, 60 Ft. Dolls, Babylon Zoo, Armand Van Helden and Todd Terry.  David has worked alongside several producers, including Mark “Spike” Stent, Goldie, Arthur Baker and Simon Dine for artists such as Bryan Ferry, All Saints, Bran Van 3000 and Roachford.  As a producer, David has collaborated with artists in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Tokyo, creating commercial music for KFC, Pepsi, Heineken and the Dusit Hotel Group.  David’s TV and film music credits include the TOTPs theme, Kevin & Perry Go Large, Open University and Children’s BBC.   David joined USW as a lecturer in 2019.
