Personal profile

Research interests

I am an Associate Professor in Inclusive Pedagogy and have over twenty years' experience as an educator working with a range of learning needs in specialist and mainstream school settings across all age phases.

My research interests focus on inclusive practices used to support children and young people in educational settings, with a particular interest in Autistic children and young people and the ways in which they engage with learning.

I have extensive experience of carrying out educational research and of leading research projects related to educational inclusion. Recent research has focused on the implementation of the new curriculum for Wales and inclusive pedagogies used with learners with additional learning needs. I am currently contributing to research on attainment grouping practices in Wales.
